ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

As part of the measures to reduce the high rate of youth unemployment, the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Education, initiated the World Bank-supported Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project with the objective of enhancing the capacity of Nigerian Skills Development System. Innovation Grant Facilities (IGF) a sub-component of the IDEAS project dedicated solely to accelerate the development of digital skills. Through IGF, Private and NGO training and service providers are supported to train Nigerian youth on market relevant digital skills and digital entrepreneurship, there by gaining employment or self-employed.
